Hello World:
A couple of posts back, I listed a lot of scriptures, I believe 14, that talk about giving to help the poor and giving in general. As, I go throughout this post today, I am going to be talking about those scriptures from two post back, dated on 9-7-2011. So, I ask that everyone reading this post, to refer back two posts, to see what scriptures I am talking about.
I had begun mentioning the famine and people dying of starvation in Somalia. I also mentioned that I wanted to discuss Greece's financial problems. I mentioned before that there is no excuse for decent human beings to not have food, water, and shelter; and I want to add in here adequate medical care too. I also know about Al Shabab, the militant group who have hindered humanitarian assistance from reaching the people in need in Somalia.
To solve the problem of the warlords, I do believe with humanitarian aid coming into Somalia, or to any of those countries, there needs to be heavily armed protection in some way coming in WITH the humanitarian aid. The armed protection can be military or some kind of elite security force, WHO ARE PREPARED TO FIGHT AND KILL the militants, to get the aid to the decent and starving people.
If someone bringing in humanitarian aid, is not prepared to fight and kill the bad guys, or because they are a Christian and refuse to kill anybody for any reason, or because they want to be peaceful, then they should not go in there, because the problems of decent people dying of starvation WILL NOT be solved.
Now, I believe that in many of my recent series, I have turned off some people talking about killing in self-defense. As soon as some people see the word kill or killing, they immediately panic and run, and do not get all the facts.
Everything I am mentioning concerning killing in these post series is backed up by the scriptures or the CHRISTIAN BIBLE. Now later on, when I move into another topic, I will have more scriptures to back me up. The KEY WORD in the scriptures is JUSTICE, and it is not all saying that God will be the only one doing justice, but GOD COMMANDS US, CHRISTIANS, to ALSO DO JUSTICE. That leads me to talk about, in brief, those scriptures from 2 posts back.
In the scriptures that I presented in that recent post, in Psalm 82, God SAYS to DEFEND the POOR, and DO JUSTICE TO THE AFFLICTED AND NEEDY, OR ON BEHALF OF OR IN FAVOR OF THE AFFLICTED AND NEEDY. What Proverb 14:31 mean is when a person oppresses the poor he rebukes God, the creator, or he looks down on God or tries to shame God. Also, with that same Proverb 14, if a person fears and honors the Creator, he or she will have compassion on the poor and help the poor.
Now before I say more about the scriptures, I want to mention something concerning Greece. I know that Greece is having financial problems. They had some riots in the streets because many people are having trouble meeting their basic needs. The Greece government passed laws that cut public services and raised taxes, in hopes that will solve the people's problems. Here is what I want to say about that.
Again, as I mentioned with Somalia, basically, every decent person needs to have food, water, shelter and medical care. Those things are humane. In terms of the high unemployment situation, that is where I really believe the government should step in and provide basic needs to its' citizens. It is called socialism. A lot of people look at socialism like it is a bad word, but it is NOT.
When you can not provide jobs for people; or small businesses and also the large corporations can not provide jobs for people, so that the people can independently take care of themselves, somebody got to do something. If you do not do anything to counter the massive loss of jobs, your country will continue to degrade economically or financially, people will starve and die just like in Somalia.
Psychologically, morale or self-esteem, and belief in hope will be low, there will be anger and depression in the masses, and there will be a lot of crime and killing among the citizens. I need to stop here and come back in the next post and say some things about the United States of America, and then return afterwards in discussing more about giving to help the poor and giving in general.
