Hello World:
This the 6th segment of my health and nutrition series. Previously I talked about water. Again water is very important. Water is very important for keeping the body hydrated so it can function overall; water is important for digestion of food; and water is important for cleaning.
There is a saying that cleanliness is next to Godliness. That statement is not exactly true and is not in the scriptures or Bible. The two things are not related; because in terms of cleanliness, that depends on the persons situation or environment as to how clean they can get. Being clean does not mean that you are Godly or close to God or pleasing God. Cleanliness DOES NOT save one's soul and DOES NOT get one into Heaven. People should, in the natural sense and for good hygiene purposes clean themselves. People should use water to wash themselves by shower or bath, OR BY WHATEVER PRACTICAL MEANS that they can.
I am aware and mentioned before, that in some countries good, clean water is hard to come by. So, in some places and sometimes, in countries where there is no clean water or hardly any water at all, you may have to improvise and do the best you can, again, depending on the situation. Everybody is not able to take showers everyday or bath everyday. Oftentimes, people waste water by showering too much. So, if you have consistently good water, get to it, and use it the best you can, but in a wise manner.
Before I go back to talking about vitamins, I need to go through some other things in this post. About a year ago, I mentioned the ideal amount of sleep is 8 hours. That is still okay, but I want to expand that by adding a range to that. The range of sleep a person should target is between 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Try to get at least, or no less than 6 hours of sleep.
Anything less than 6 hours is bad or dangerous. On the other hand, you can sleep too much. Therefore, at most 8 hours is good. You do not want to sleep more than 8 hours, except under rare circumstances when you have worked really hard and you are extremely tired. Your body will tell you, by the way you feel if you need more sleep. If you slept for a certain time period and it is morning, and you wake up feeling good, it is time to get up and get out of bed to start your day.
If you exercise or work out often, it is not good to exercise or workout everyday. On average 3 times a week. Meaning sometimes 2 times a week and sometimes 4 times a week. Generally, exercising or doing a serious workout, 3 times a week is good. You need to skip some days each week and NOT workout, and actually rest your muscles; because if you do that you will get stronger the next time. That has worked for me personally. You can push your muscles to their limit or failure, but again, you should NOT work your muscles into the ground, figuratively, everyday. Rest and recuperation is a part of getting stronger and avoiding injuries.
Also very important to note, that if you exercise or workout a lot, or are consistently active in sports, you need to consume EXTRA protein, from your usual required amount depending on your body type, to refuel and build your muscles used in the workouts or sports activities.
You can also exercise too much to the point, that you drain energy from other areas and systems of your body, including your immune system. So, you want to be careful in that also. The body needs to move and work, especially as we age or get older; but mentioning a third time here, the body also needs good periods to rest and recover.
Very quickly on the subject of protein, I believe I mentioned this before in my archives, but I want to mention this again; I have observed and noticed many women who have pretty faces, but they have skinny arms and legs. When I see that, that tells me that those women are NOT eating enough protein in their diet. I see A LOT of women like that.
They have beautiful and attractive faces or profiles or facial features, because I notice those kinds of things; but their arms and legs are very thin, bony or do not have enough meat on them. Many women, especially some of the younger woman, need to eat MORE protein in their diet, to develop PROPERLY PROPORTIONED limbs and a healthy figure, overall for their bodies. Some young women I see look so thin, that it appears that they did not eat good diets; or were NOT fed healthy foods with protein by their parents, raising them as they were growing up.
I have to talk about some similarities of two kinds of people who are LIABILITIES or problem people. There are some nice people who are fat, obese or extremely overweight. Also, there are people who drive too slow and BELOW the speed limit or laws in traffic. When you drive a car or truck, generally, you do not want to speed, but drive the speed limit. In addition to the driving you want to have some patience.
I want to add in here, that NOT ALL speeding is bad. Some speeding or a lot of speeding IS bad, but some times, even though in some places it is against the law, it is necessary to speed and get away from people and fools out on the road. HOWEVER, TWO of the WORST kinds of people to be around, IN A CRISIS, are fat people and slow drivers.
Fat people can cause a lot of people to die, because they are slow, are difficult to move if they need help, and they can get in the way and block the way of escape. Because of that, fat or obese people have a degree of selfishness. In a crisis situation, fat people or obese people are a liability. SLOW DRIVERS, IN ANY KIND OF TRAFFIC, CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS AND GET PEOPLE KILLED TOO, AND ARE ACTUALLY WORSE THAN SPEEDERS FOR SEVERAL REASONS. SLOW DRIVERS, IN TRAFFIC, ARE MORE SELFISH THAN OTHER PEOPLE, including MORE THAN speeders. I am caping those statements above to emphasize points.
People, who drive TOO slow or TOO slow in traffic, should be pulled over, ticketed or penalized by police to pay money fines, the same way people who are caught speeding are treated. In a crisis situation, slow drivers are a liability.
And if anybody is wondering, NO, I have never been ticketed for speeding. Yes, speeding your car or vehicle is illegal in several places; but again, depending on the situation is SOMETIMES necessary and SOMETIMES the right thing to do. I do speed when I have to get away from traffic, because I always drive away from traffic, either in front of or behind it, NOT INTO IT CLOGGING IT UP. I like to have space or distance, and I do NOT like a person driving so close, until it is like they are right up my rear end or behind. I also, do not like a slow person in front of me and someone speeding behind me. If people keep space or distance, by making adjustments when driving, that will prevent accidents.
I only drive slow or below the speed limit, when I am the only one on the road; or there is NO traffic, when NOBODY is behind me and I am NOT inconveniencing the other person! I need to continue with something concerning survival in segment 7.
