Hello World:
I was not sure what to title this series at first, because I want to cover several things. I was really focusing on the Great White Throne of Judgement, because I want to explain some things about God's throne; but I also want to talk about judging other people, and what Jesus really said about judging, which will surprise some people. I want to mention several things about the Christian church, and also talk about hell and the final judgement.
So, after asking God, and talking this over with God for several days, I felt led to seperate the topics into seperate individual posts, and not one large series, like I originally was going to do. However, I now know ahead of time, that when I go into talking about judging, as in should we do it or NOT, that part is going to be extensive in length. So, these first couple of post will be discussing the great white throne of judgement. Then I will move on to the next topic on Judging seperately, and mention the Christian church later in that; and then potentially seperately post information and revisit the final judgement and hell.
All those things above, I want to discuss, and even though I am sort of seperating them, they are all related. Again, I just feel led of the Lord to seperate the information like that to be more organized in presentation. So, first up, I want to focus on the great white throne of judgement.
Scripture Reference Revelation Chapter 20; Verse 11; "And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them."
Verse 12; "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Okay, for now I want to just use those scriptures, but later on, I want to come back to that section of Revelation, with the surrounding scriptures later in one of the other topics. There are several things to mention about the great white throne of judgement. The event, that involves the great white throne of judgement, is called Judgement Day. It is believed by some that on this day, God will sit on His great white throne and judge every person of mankind who did not accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God, Savior and Lord.
In addition to that, there are several mysteries surrounding the great white throne of judgement. I have not solved these mysteries exactly, but the point of discussing them is because it seems or appeares that no one has solved or knows the answers to the mysteries.
The mysteries of the great white throne of judgement, I am talking about are these, where will that particular throne be located or situated, or where will judgement day actually takes place; and who will actually be sitting on that great white throne doing the actual judging of mankind?
The latter part of the two mysteries mentioned above seems obvious that it will be Almighty God, or God, the Father sitting there and doing the judging. This is what many, who believe in God, think or believe is the case. I used to believe this was a certainty, but after looking at the scriptures now I see that not as a certainty but as a possibility.
Two things here, I once believed that God, the Father, will sit on the great white throne of judgement and judge people on judgement day from up in Heaven. However, I realized, that may not happen up in Heaven. Judgement day could still take place up in Heaven. However, the scriptures from the Bible actually does not say or CLARIFY where it takes place. There is also a scripture that seems to tell that it will be JESUS CHRIST, the Son, doing the judging and not God, the Father.
One place it seems that the great white throne of judgement will not be, and that is in hell. According to the scriptures, death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; according to Revelation Chapter 20: Verse 33.
I actually have not asked God specifically where it will be. Although I would like to know, and would like for Him to tell me. There are several places I can think of. I believe, that judgement day will be a day that is known throughout the universe and throughout ALL creation. Judgement day is a BIG DAY, A HUGE DAY for mankind. I will say more about this and show the scripture about Jesus Christ possibly being that ultimate judge on Judgement Day, in part II coming next.
