The Great White Throne Of Judgement-Pt. II

Hello World:
Continuing from pt. I, I was discussing the two mysteries surrounding the great white throne of judgement. I talked about that it appears that no one knows where the throne will be located or the actual place where judgement day takes place. Then I mentioned that, contrary to what many believe, Jesus Christ may be the one sitting on the great white throne of judgement doing the judging on Judgement Day.

I said, in this part II, I would provide the scripture, which some scholars believe, shows that Jesus Christ will be the ultimate one who will judge mankind on judgement day.

Scripture Reference St. John Chapter 5: Verse 22; "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement unto the Son:"

That scripture from St. John 5:22 does not specifically mention Judgement Day, but some in the Christian field believe that because Jesus Christ says in that scripture of St. John 5:22, that the Father judgeth no man, but committed ALL judgement unto the Son, that Jesus is implying that He will be the ultimate judge of mankind even on Judgement day.

However, even though Jesus made the statement of ALL judgement being committed to Him, I still have some reason to believe that it could be the Father in Heaven who will judge on Judgement Day. That is not to take anything away from Jesus. This is all speculative on my part, and others. I think it is interesting though.

The reason why I believe the Judge, sitting on the great white throne of judgemnt is the Father, is because in Revelation, when it describes who is sitting on throne, as him whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, really looks to me to be a description of the Father. From my research, through other instances in the bible, and testimonies from people who have been to Heaven, and seen God, the Father, but was NOT able to see his face, because of the infinite power coming from God, that is why I think in Revelation 20:11, it is talking about the Father.

People have been able to see Jesus Christ face and be physically close to Jesus. Some people could not see Jesus face, but I have reason to believe if someone could not see Jesus face, that that Jesus may have been an imposter. Scripturally, it has been documented that men could look on Jesus and see his face. However, scripturally, no man could look at the face of God and live, because of the power of God is so strong. Those consistencies still should hold true, unless the Father decides He wants to reveal his face to someone. The point being, that men was always able to look at Jesus Christ's face.

Again, I am speculating above, and Jesus Christ can still be the appointed judge. There are two other sections of scripture, that I have not heard anyone bring up in relation to Jesus being the judge on Judgement Day. However, Jesus seems to hint that He could be the one, further in the same St. John Chapter 5, and on another occassion in the scriptures. Those scriptures are from St. Matthew Chapter 25: Verses 31 through 46; and again in St. John Chapter 5: Verses 25 through 29. In those scriptures Jesus refers to Himself as the Son of Man and the Son of God as the person judging all these people; and so the Son of, is a clear distinction from the Father, God.

Also too, God may have another way by which He or the Son does it. There is also something that is called the Judgement Seat of Christ. Which, is for believers or saints and is SEPERATE FROM the great white throne of judgement and Judgement Day. I will come back to talking about that along with Judgement Day a few posts down the way.

Now here I want to just list several scriptures references for people to look up and read on their own time. After I list the following scriptures, below, I will mention another point about the great white throne of judgement and the throne of God.

Revelation Chapter 4: Verses 2-11;
Revelation Chapter 5: Verses 1-14(the whole chapter);
Revelation Chapter 19: Verses 4-9;
Revelation Chapter 22: Verses 1-2;

Okay, I want to bring out a point here concerning the above list of scriptures from Revelation. If you look at those scriptures, it can be seen that there is something good happening around or at the throne of God in those scriptures. There is plenty of worship to God at the throne of God. With that said, those events with the beasts, and the 24 elders and angels are different from the event involving the great white throne of judgement. That is important to note. In other words, it is NOT all doom and gloom around God's throne.

The scriptures does not say specifically if the throne of God in Revelation chapters 4, 5 19 and 22, is the same throne as the "GREAT WHITE THRONE" in Revelation chapter 20, or if those thrones are different. I believe that it is possibly a different throne, that God, the Father sits on, from the great white throne, based upon the description of the environment around the other throne with the rainbow, red and green colors, thundering and lightning, and other things and people worshipping around this other throne.

So, to me reading those other scriptures from Revelation describing the throne of God and events and objects around the throne makes me believe that God has a least two different thrones. If He does not have two different thrones, then He has one throne that is interchangeable depending on the event that is taking place.

The reason why I bring that up, is because there are some preachers who discourage people from seeking to be with God at His throne. These preachers are doing that, because they are assuming that God is only sitting on a great white throne ready to judge people on the spot always, at any time. However, that is not true, as we have seen from, again, the above scriptures in Revelation chapters 4, 5, 19 and 22. Again if you read in those scriptures, you can see people, and angels and beasts in the presence of God, worshipping God, and other blessings happening from the throne of God, besides judgement.

People should be scared or fearful of God, and what He can do, but believers or those who have accepted Jesus Christ should seek to be worthy to be able to be in the presence of God at His throne like in those examples in Revelation. If your heart and your life is right with God, God can invite you to His throne to fellowship with Him. This is possible and has happened to people.

Coming before the throne of God is VERY serious. Again, it is still scaring and God is to be feared, but I believe if a person is pleasing God and doing His will, if they had to come before God's throne, it would be because God invites the person as a friendly guest and not to be judged. Again, coming before the throne of God for fellowship and blessings is by accepting Jesus Christ, and then afterwards being literally invited. Even for believers in Jesus Christ, you still must be invited to God's throne, or you can not go there. God is loving, but He is ALSO HOLY, GREAT AND TERRIBLE IN POWER and no flesh can stand it.  I will be back next time with a related topic.
