Judge Not That Ye Be Not Judged?-Part A

Hello World:
This topic is related to the great white throne of judgement topic, but I believe it is best to post it under a different title here. In this topic I need to explain a major misinterpretation of the Bible or scriptures, by many people. First though, below I want to list 3 misinterpretations that a lot of people make and believe from the Bible.

1. Money is the root of evil or all evil. I have talked about this before in my archives. This is not what the Bible or scriptures actually says. The scripture on this is from 1 Timothy Chapter 6: Verse 10; and it says "For the love of money is the root of all evil........" Therefore money is NOT the root of all evil, but the love of it according to the scriptures.

2. A rich man can not go to Heaven, because Jesus said a camel can not go through the eye of a needle. This is from the scripture in St. Matthew Chapter 19: Verse 24. Many people, especially in the west look at that scripture different from eastern culture. Many of those and even preachers think that in that scripture Jesus is talking about a camel and trying to fit the camel into the hole or eye of a little sowing needle that people hold in their hands to sow up clothes with. That is NOT what Jesus is saying.

Jesus is actually talking about a camel going through one of the small narrow gates to enter the city of Jerusalem back at that time. According to my Dake Bible there are large entrances and small entrances to the gates of the city. The small entrances were or are actually called the NEEDLE'S EYE. It would be difficult for a camel to go through the small ones, especially if the camel is loaded or carrying a load of things.

If the camel is unloaded from what it is carrying and it kneeled down, it possibly could enter through the eye of the needle or gate into the city. What Jesus said is synonymous to what a rich man would need to do by unloading his earthly riches and kneeling or humbling himself before God and following Jesus to enter into Heaven. It can be done, but it is difficult for people to make that choice. That is why Jesus said it is easier for the camel.

3. Judge not that ye be not judged, don't be judging, do not judge, or you are not supposed to judge. Those are all sayings from people who misinterpret what Jesus said from the scripture in the Bible, in St. Matthew Chapter 7: Verse 1; "Judge not, that ye be not judged." Now I need to say here that what people see there, in that scripture, literally word for word and what they think Jesus means that people should not judge IS NOT CORRECT.

Everybody and there grandmother seems to know about the judge not that ye be not judged. However, to get the truth out of the actual meaning of that scripture really comes down to really studying the Bible and reading not only verse 1 in that chapter 7 of St. Matthew, but you have to, ALSO, include verses 2 through 5. In other words, verse 1, "Judge not that ye be not judged" is a scripture whos' meaning does not stand on its own. You need to include the following scriptures after verse 1, to get the true meaning of what Jesus is saying as a whole.

Some single scriptures do stand on their own meaning, and then there are some scriptures that need to have the surrounding scriptures for the correct context. Everybody does not know that. Again, you have to have fully read the Bible, studied the Bible over time, and be given an understanding of God to be able to determine the relationship and meaning of the scriptures to one another. You need all three of those things above; and not just one of or two of those three, but all three.

It is from having experience in the Word of God. Some times you have to read the whole story or parable, and setting and some times you do not. So, what I need to do is come back in part B and show verses 2 though 5 and explain the true context of those scriptures.
